Whether it’s your first time having Delta Dental of Wisconsin dental insurance or you’ve been a member for decades, knowing how to check your dental benefits is an important step in maintaining a healthy smile. Let’s walk through the steps to view your dental benefits online.
Dental benefits defined
Dental benefits encompass the dental procedures, treatments, or services that are fully or partially covered under your dental insurance plan. Knowing your dental benefits can help you with your dental care budget. It can also help you see which dental care services are covered and which aren’t. This can help prevent surprise charges after a visit to the dentist.
How to check your Delta Dental of Wisconsin benefits online
As a Delta Dental of Wisconsin member, you have online access to all your plan information. If you haven’t created a member account, this will be the first step in checking your dental benefits.
Create a Delta Dental of Wisconsin member account by clicking here: Create an Account.
Note: To create an account, you’ll need to provide your full name, member ID number, date of birth, and area code.
Once you have an active member account, you can go on the portal anytime to see your dental benefits by following the steps below:
Log into your member portal. The option to do this is found near the top right corner of the Delta Dental of Wisconsin website.
Logging in will take you to the account dashboard. On the dashboard, you’ll be able to see information like when your plan year starts, your ID card (which includes your network, group number, and member ID), your annual deductible, and more.
Additionally, you can see your cleanings and exams per year, family deductible (if applicable), and additional benefits; and search for in-network providers and estimate procedure costs.
You’ll also be able to live chat during business hours (Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. CST), securely message, and directly access our blog, oral health library, and quick teeth facts and tips.
By following these steps and taking an active role in understanding your dental benefits, you can pave the way toward optimal oral health and a brighter smile.
